Lets Save UBC Farm

This is a video we put together of Gavin Wright talking about the importance of UBC Farm to the City of Vancouver. UBC farm is under threat of being downsized by the University of British Columbia from the existing 24 hectares to a much smaller size, in addition, there is a real possibility the farm could be moved.

Moving UBC farm would be extremely unfortunate as 10 years of hard work would simply evaporate.

The Centre for Sustainable Food Systems operates UBC Farm. The student-driven initiative has taken 24 hectares of existing farm and forest lands at UBC and turned it into an international centre for sustainable agriculture, forestry and food systems.

As the only working farmland within the city of Vancouver, the UBC Farm is an urban-agrarian gem, featuring a landscape of unique beauty.

An on-line petition to save UBC Farm is available for signing right here.
